2025 was a very eventful year
We rescued the wolf Odin, who lived in an apartment in the middle of the city. He and Nymphadora are socialised and live together in a large natural enclosure.
We successfully carried out the first sterilisation of a female bear (Lyuba) in Ukraine. The procedure was carried out by a team of veterinarians from the Genesis Clinic and the Vasylkivska Clinic.
The bear Synochok underwent a dental examination.
Lyuba and Myhasyk moved to our wonderful colleagues at the Tier-, Natur- und Jugendzentrum Weidefeld, where Malvina already lives.
We made a veterinary trip together with the Vasylkivska Clinic team to the Brown Bear Rehabilitation Centre of the Synevyr National Park with the support of LAV Italia.
We observed the work of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Conservation Alliance in conservation and reintroduction projects of rare species.
We equipped a laboratory room with the help of the Play Duck charity
We installed a coffeehouse.
We prepared a video about our work for the LAV Italia Congress — our patrons working in the field of animal protection.
We participated in trainings for teachers of Eco Focus and Generous Tuesday, in the animal protection forum «Zoosvidomi», the conference «Every Animal», and the Inscience conference 2025.
We received a grant from KSE Talents for Ukraine
We actively gave interviews to the media.
Prepared two articles for the website in collaboration with Olena Struk on animal protection issues.
Conducted an excursion season, including free social excursions for vulnerable categories of the population
We took part in a series of IUCN seminars on assessing the ecological status of the Felis silvestris species. Our recommendations and data were developed for the so-called green status of Felis silvestris together with data from the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group and researchers from different countries. We very much hope that our research on this species will become an important part of the future management of the species in Europe
Provided expertise for the Analysis of legal gaps and proposals for a comprehensive reform, «Protection of wild animals in Ukraine».
Began participation in the scientific study «Media portrait of the wolf».
Investigated the situation with the inappropriate keeping of wild animals and cooperated with various organisations and government agencies on the possibility of rescue.
